A Women’s Retreat Near Berlin: What Happens When Women Come Home to Themselves

Something has been asking for your attention.

Maybe it’s been asking quietly for a long time. A quiet knowing that there is more to experience as a woman. A longing to tap into the power and the gift that live inside your body. A desire to feel more, to love more, to be more connected with yourself. To not bend over to please the desire and expectation of others. But to be empowered to be unapologetically exactly who you are, to feeling good in your body and proud in your soul.

That is what brings most women to our tantric women’s retreat.

Not a clear plan. Not certainty about what they need. Just a quiet, persistent yes — and the courage to follow it into four days of nature, sisterhood, and coming home to the body.

Womens Retreat Berlin

What is a tantric women’s retreat?

The word “retreat” means many things. For us, it means exactly what it sounds like: a retreating. A stepping back from the noise, the pace, the performance of daily life. A returning to something more essential.

The tantric element means this returning happens through the body, through creating space to listen, to feel, to be present, to express, to celebrate and enjoy the beauty of having a human, female, body.

In tantra, the body is not a problem to be managed or a vessel to be kept functioning. It is the site of our wisdom. The place where memory lives, where feeling moves, where power — the kind that has nothing to do with control — waits to be reclaimed.

A tantric women’s retreat is a space where women come together to do exactly this. To feel what has been unfelt. To release what has been held. To meet the body not as something to fix or improve, but as something to listen to, trust, enjoy and come home to.

What we work with

Our Women’s Retreat near Berlin works with the full spectrum of tantric and embodiments tools — practices that are simple in form but can go surprisingly deep.

  • Breath — using the breath consciously to move energy through the body, soften holding patterns, and access layers of feeling that the mind alone cannot reach.

  • Sound and voice — releasing what the body has kept silent. Sound is one of the most direct ways to move stuck energy and reconnect with your own aliveness.

  • Movement — not choreography, not fitness. Free, intuitive movement that follows the body’s own intelligence.

  • Touch — conscious, consensual, held within clear boundaries. Learning to give and receive touch as a form of presence, of recognition.

  • Pleasure — not as something earned or performed, but as a natural state of the body when it feels safe and seen.

  • Sharing and listening — the practice of speaking truthfully and being witnessed. Of true listening to others without judgment, commenting, advising. And maybe recognising yourself in them.

  • Stillness — space to integrate. To let what has moved settle. To simply be.

Everything is an invitation. Nothing is required. You chose when to participate or when to take a break. The pace is yours to set. And there are long breaks in the programm to enjoy nature.

Womens Retreat

A retreat for each season

As women, we are naturally cyclical beings. Our energy moves differently in different seasons — of the year, of our lives, of our cycle. We believe retreats should honour this.

That’s why we offer one Women’s Retreat each season. Each one carries the same foundations — embodiment, release, sisterhood, tantra — but with the particular quality and medicine of that time of year.

Summer Retreat — July 2nd to 5th, 2026

Celebrate who you are in abundance and joy. Summer invites expansion — into pleasure, into visibility, into the full brightness of what you are. This retreat works with the energy of ripeness, of being fully alive in the body, of allowing yourself to take up space.

Fall/Winter Retreat — November 19th to 22nd, 2026

Let go and surrender to the beauty and peace of the present moment. Autumn is the season of release — of what has been harvested, of what no longer serves, of the softening that comes before winter stillness. This retreat honours that movement.

Spring Retreat — March 5th to 8th, 2027

Re-awaken the senses after the long winter. This The retreat will be a special edition in celebration of Womens Day.

The location: one hour from Berlin, surrounded by nature

Our Women’s Retreat takes place at Landhaus Gottsdorf — a beautiful space approximately one hour outside Berlin, set in nature with a sauna, and the kind of quiet that the city simply cannot offer. A lake is a couple minutes walk away.

Leaving the city is part of the practice. Something happens when you step out of your daily environment — the routines, the roles, the habitual self. Nature does something to the nervous system. It slows things down. It opens things up. It reminds the body that it belongs to something larger than the to-do list.

The retreat runs from Thursday at 5pm to Sunday at 3pm — four days long enough for something real to happen. Not just a relaxing weekend, but a genuine shift.

What women say about the retreat

We could describe what happens at the retreat in many ways. But the truest description comes from the women who have been there.

“I decided to join the Women’s Tantra Retreat and it was a transformative experience, connecting with other women, healing together, opening up, sharing similar challenges and being there to support each other. I benefited so much from it that I also joined the next retreat, and again, a long weekend of bliss, to take care of myself and connect with other amazing women.”

— Raissa

“Very grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this retreat with a group of such lovely beautiful women that created a wonderful and strong safe space. The powerful loving vibe was encouraging to be brave. It made me feel alive, aware, vibrant and much more in connection with myself.”

— Hannah

“I have rarely felt so connected, seen, and empowered. The wonderful team at Journey Within was attentive and caring at all times, allowing me to completely let go and focus on the practices.”

— Madeleine

“Wow!!! It’s hard to put into words what I experienced… It was four days full of magic, love, connection, laughter, tears, and growth. It’s important for me to mention that I felt 100% safe, supported, and understood at all times.”

— Caroline

Is this retreat for you?

This retreat is for you if you feel a pull toward it. That pull is usually enough.

More specifically, it might be for you if:

  • You have been running on empty and know that rest alone won’t refill you.

  • You feel disconnected from your body — from its sensations, its needs, its wisdom.

  • You long for a space where you can be real — without performing, without managing how you come across.

  • You are curious about tantra but want to explore it in a women-only, safe, professional container.

  • You are ready to release something — even if you don’t quite know what yet.

  • You want to remember what it feels like to be alive in your body.

  • You are looking for genuine connection with other women.

No prior experience with tantra is necessary. Only a genuine willingness to show up.

A final word

The women who leave our retreats don’t leave the same as they arrived. Not because something dramatic was done to them. But because they were given something rare — time, space, and a container safe enough to feel what they had been carrying.

And in the feeling of it, something shifted. Something softened. Something that had been waiting a long time finally got the chance to move.

That is what four days in nature, in sisterhood, in the body can do.

We would love to hold that space for you.

You can find all retreat details and enrol on our Women’s Retreat page.

With warmth,

Dr. Paula Strakos and the Journey Within Team
